Comprehension  power, pressure, and abrasive stream in cutting.

Chicago – Make plans to attend the IMTS 2014 Conferences to learn about The Roles of Power, Pressure, Abrasive Flow and Efficiency in Waterjet Cutting Performance.

DATE: Wednesday, September 10 from 9:00 AM – 9:55 AM   ROOM: W-192C

SPEAKER: Laird Parry, Senior Applications Engineer, OMAX Corp.

Many owners and operators do not fully understand the relative roles of pump power, nozzle power, water pressure, abrasive flow rate, and system efficiency in the operation of their abrasive waterjet (AWJ) cutting systems. This can lead to inefficient system operation and increased production costs. This paper will discuss the key operating parameters of an abrasive waterjet system and how they can be optimized based on the application. Existing AWJ users will benefit from more cost-effective operation of their current system. Potential users will be better able to select the system configuration that best meets their manufacturing needs.

The educational and informative conferences run Sept. 8-11, 2014 in the West Building, Level 1. To register for this or any session, visit www.imts.com/education/imtsconference.html.
